CCPA Privacy Notice

This CCPA Privacy Notice applies to California residents and supplements our main Privacy Policy. It is provided pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA). This notice describes your rights as a California resident and how to exercise them.

1. Personal Information We Collect

In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:

Geolocation note: we collect approximate country/region only — precise GPS coordinates are never collected.

2. How We Use Personal Information

We use the personal information we collect for the following business or commercial purposes:

  • Providing, operating, and maintaining the Holmnium Service
  • Processing payments and managing subscriptions via Stripe
  • Authenticating users and maintaining secure sessions
  • Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Understanding usage patterns to improve the Service (analytics via PostHog)
  • Complying with legal obligations

3. Disclosure of Personal Information

In the past 12 months, we have disclosed personal information to the following categories of third parties for business purposes:

  • Stripe — payment processing and fraud detection
  • PostHog — product analytics
  • Cloud infrastructure providers — hosting and data storage
  • OAuth providers (GitHub, Google) — authentication, only when you choose these sign-in methods

We do not sell personal information.

We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Your California Privacy Rights

Right to Know

You have the right to request that we disclose what personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the business purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.

Right to Delete

You have the right to request that we delete personal information we collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., where retention is required by law or to complete a transaction).

Right to Correct

You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale / Sharing

We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. No opt-out is required, but if you believe your data is being sold or shared in violation of this notice, please contact us.

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. We will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide different quality of service based on your exercise of these rights.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information

We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA, so this right does not apply to Holmnium.

5. How to Submit a Request

Subject: CCPA Privacy Request

We will verify your identity before processing your request and will respond within 45 days. We may extend by an additional 45 days if necessary, with notice. We will not charge a fee for your first request in any 12-month period.

6. Authorized Agent

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. To do so, provide written permission signed by you. We may require you to verify your identity directly with us even when an agent submits the request.
